E'VEN-TIDE, noun Literally, the time of evening; that is, evening.

1. Level; smooth; of an equal surface; flat; not rough or waving; as an even tract of land; an even country; an even surface.

ARMIN'IAN, n. One of a sect or party of Christians, so called from Arminius or Harmansen, of Holland, who flourished at the close of the 16th century, and beginning of the 17th. The Arminian doctrines are,

* As a note, I have purchased each of these products. In fact, as we have been developing the Project:: 1828 Reprint, I have purchased several of the bulky hard-cover dictionaries. My opinion is that the 2000-page hard-cover edition is the only good viable solution at this time. The compact edition was a bit disappointing and the CD-ROM as well.
