CALCULALATION, n. 1. The art, practice or manner of computing by numbers. The use of numbers, by addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division, for the purpose of arriving at a certain result. Thus computations in astronomy and geometry for making tables of numbers are called calculations.2. The result of an arithmetical operation; computation; reckoning.3. Estimate formed in the mind by comparing the various circumstances and facts which influence its determination.
