ARMOR'ICAN, a. Designating the northwestern part of France, formerly called Armorica, afterward Bretague, or Britanny. This part of France is peopled by inhabitants who speak a dialect of the Celtic. It is usually supposed their ancestors were refugees or colonists from England.
