In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed... No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.

About 1828

First dictionary of the American Language!

Noah Webster, the Father of American Christian education, wrote the first American dictionary and established a system of rules to govern spelling, grammar, and reading. This master linguist understood the power of words, their definitions, and the need for precise word usage in communication to maintain independence. Webster used the Bible as the foundation for his definitions.

This standard reference tool will greatly assist students of all ages in their studies.

No other dictionary compares with the Webster's 1828 dictionary. The English language has changed again and again and in many instances has become corrupt. The American Dictionary of the English Language is based upon God's written word, for Noah Webster used the Bible as the foundation for his definitions. This standard reference tool will greatly assist students of all ages in their studies. From American History to literature, from science to the Word of God, this dictionary is a necessity. patented invention When you conduct the online patent searches, you'll be able to read the full text of the patents and see diagrams. Don't be discouraged if you do find your invention idea is already patented. You may be able to come up with a variation that's not patented...And double check the patent. Sometimes, what looks like the same invention idea may actually be quite different. Some of the free searches may not involve a complete search of all granted patent archives and patent applications for all time. You may want to consider hiring a registered patent attorney to find this information for you.
Do A Patent Search Early In The Invention Process. There is nothing more valuable than a patent search when you have a new idea. The reason a search is so valuable is that this single step can save the average inventor a fortune. Many times you will find your invention has already been patented. If that is the case and the patent is still active, i.e. less than 17-20 years old in most cases, you will either want to change your idea or start over with a new concept. Often there is no point in pursuing an idea that has already been patented if your idea infringes the patent. Your goal as an inventor should be to seek out reasons why your invention will not work and will not make you money. This is hard for most people to understand.
The Three Different Types of Patents Issued By The USPTO Utility patents may be granted to anyone who invents a useful process, a machine, an article of manufacture, or a composition of matter. Examples: fiber optics, computer hardware, or medications. Utility patent can be provisional or non-provisional. Design patents may be granted to anyone who invents a new, original, and ornamental design for an article of manufacture. Examples: the look of an athletic shoe, a bicycle helmet, and the Star Wars characters. Plant patents may be granted to anyone who invents or discovers and asexually reproduces any distinct and new variety of plants. Examples: Hybrid tea roses, Silver Queen corn, Better Boy tomatoes
Patent Laws - Functions Of The USPTO Patent law specifies the rules for patents. The USPTO administers all patent laws relating to the granting of patents and various other provisions relating to patents. They will examine your applications and grant patents when applicants are entitled to them. They publish and distribute all patent information including: recording assignments of patents, maintaining search files of U.S. and foreign patents, maintaining a search room for public use in examining issued patents and records, and suppling copies of patents and official records to the public.
How to Find Out if Your Invention Idea is Already Patented If you have an idea for an invention, before you patent it you should check to see if it's already been invented by some other inventor in the past. Though actually, whether or not it's been invented, what you'll want to do is find out whether it's been patented before with the USPTO (the United States Patent and Trademark Office). Here you'll learn how to search patents to find out if your invention idea is already patented or if you should redirect your brainstorming to another invention idea. Have a question?
